About the programme
N.C.B. Foundation’s Scholarship & Grant programme commenced in 2008, extending financial assistance to students studying at the primary to tertiary levels at local accredited institutions. Over J$903M+ have been invested in scholarships and grants to Jamaican students to date.
The COVID-19 pandemic laid bare the digital transformation imperative for companies, governments and societies. At N.C.B. Foundation, we are passionate about ensuring that our youth are prepared to participate in the future of work, and are in a position to become the global tech entrepreneurs of the future.
With this in mind, the N.C.B. Foundation has set a bold aspiration to play a pivotal role in accelerating the digital transformation of Jamaica by expanding our country’s pool of digital producers. We seek to empower Jamaicans to:
- Create digital solutions that solve local and global problems and unlock growth opportunities to expand our economy.
- Become financially independent and literate.
- Be resilient in a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous (VUCA) world.
Our tertiary scholarships and grants will be primarily focused on digital areas of study such as software development/computer science/engineering, user experience design, robotics /biotech engineering, animation/ video game development, cyber-security, data science, analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.
